Tattiana Aqeel is a native Washingtonian and a graduate of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts.  Her artistic experience is in theater, vocal music, and dance.  Following her high school preparatory arts education, she took two years of pre-professional acting training at Rutgers University in New Jersey.  She then traveled to Brazil to perform as a Jazz singer, and began studying Musicá Popular do Brasil (Brazilian Pop), Bossa Nova, and Samba.  Tattiana co-produced her first original song recordings in 2009, when she and a poet/pianist formed the musical duo, 1eleven1, which played in DC for a short time. 


In 2014, the United Way of the National Capital Area commissioned Tattiana to write and video record the official song for Do More 24, a citywide donation campaign that benefited over 550 nonprofits. She is featured on a number of independent song releases including hip-hop duo Fly Gypsy's recording of "You" in 2009, and in 2013, she was featured on the album, "Lifting the Veil," by Oakland-based sacred sound duo, Spiridessence.  Currently, Tattiana is furthering her education in music, producing her first full length album, and acting for film and stage.
